Our community's been shocked to find out the school's annual Halloween parade/parties have been canceled by our school principal Bret Domstrand, citing that Halloween creates anxiety for some students, this is just not right. Growing up in United States of America there are certain traditions and celebrations we have become accustomed to celebrating at home and during school! Halloween parades, Halloween parties, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hanukkah celebrations, New years, Valentines Day parties and Easter. These are our American customs and traditions that we should all be proud of and we should not have to give them up because a few people find them offensive or feel that they can create anxiety! I'm so tired of my kids missing out on some of the things we all got to do as children and are some of the greatest childhood memories I have, due to others saying they find it offensive or can create anxiety. Too the few students that are claiming anxiety, lets offer them other activities, an art project, movie in the commons, computer time, etc.

Hello, here's a continuation from Part 1. I've added a few quick links below for easy referrals of my earlier posts. I covered 9 commonly asked questions in Part 1 and I'll cover another 9 today! Before I go on, this is my golden tip especially if I get asked a question that I was not expecting. When you are going for an interview, if you get offered a water, even if you are not thirsty, ACCEPT. Reason being if you are dumbfounded by the question, you can take a sip of water before you answer and get a few extra seconds to think of your response or even calm your nerves rather than go silent or "uhh", "umm". But if you are doing that for every question then you are simply not prepared at all OK so don't drink at every opportunity you get or it's going to look really weird for you. And I know HR personnels are going to hate me for saying this but even up till today, I apply for jobs even if I know the chances of me being interested of joining them are low or I'm out of my depth. This is especially relevant now when many interviews are being held online.
